Rebranding - Grand Hotel Melbourne

The owner of the Grand Hotel Melbourne decided a change was required to align with the business goals and also meet the expectations of the guest. He reached out to Hotel, Tourism and Business Solutions, and we guided the team through the rebrand.

We worked collaboratively to de-commission the old brand and worked with the hotel management company to bring the new brand to life.

Rebranding a hotel is a lot like creating a new hotel. The structure and people are in place but with a new personality.

Ensuring you have your processes and systems in place is critical for a smooth transition and for the future success for the hotel. Our checklist is most comprehensive covering IT, front of house, back of house and everything consumer-facing.

Importantly we looked at how this brand change would attract and benefit the guests as opposed to who they might loose with the transition.

“Having Kerry lead the rebrand ensured that no stone was left unturned and the hotel seamlessly transitioned without disruption. The team were educated on the personality and key messages to walk the talk of the new brand”. Denis Croke owner, Grand Hotel Melbourne.

“Kerry was instrumental in the hotels pre-opening, establishing the sales and marketing to distribute and sell the hotel effectively. Working with the travel industry and media, Kerry positioned the hotel to lead the market where ‘culture and adventure met with luxury and nurturing’, ramping up sales, and within the first few months of trading the hotel reached number one in TripAdvisor”.
